Aluminum Honeycomb Panel

Description

Aluminum Honeycomb Panel (AHP) is a lightweight material that has excellent strength and corrosion resistance for civil applications at affordable costs. AHP standard panel material are of 3003 aluminum alloy foil.

Applications

AHP can be used for both interior and exterior applications, like building wall claddings and ceilings, bridges, lift floors and walls, ceiling, partitions, railcars, boats and ships interior, displays and billboards, architectural, interior design, exhibitions, advertising etc.

Why not consider Honeycomb as the best choice?

  • The Aluminum Alloy: 3000 and 5000 series
  • Foil Thickness: 50 – 80 Microns
  • Standard Dimensions: 1220mm x 2440mm and 1220mm x 3050mm                                                                                                                                                                                        (Other customizsed dimensions are available upon request)
  • Slice Thickness: 4mm (0.15”) to 980 mm (38.5”)

Solution of Strength and Efficiency

Lightweight:

AHP is weighed up to about 75% lighter than steel, wood, stone cladding and partitioning materials.

High Strength to Weight Ratio:

AHP has its higher strength to weight ratio than other natural or synthetic materials.

Energy Efficiency:

Designers have been taking advantage of that material because it is stronger, lighter and more environmentally friendly than other normal materials. As a result, it helps cut down more on energy consumption through various means of transportation.

Fire Resistance:

Aluminum cores, metal and stone skins are fire-resistant while common wood, PVC, Insulating Materials, Drywalls and sheathing materials are prone to fire.

Exceptionally Flat Surface:

Aluminum surface panel is reinforced with the Honeycomb vertical cell structure and the flat surface panel.

Insulator and Sound Proof:

The honeycomb Structure absorbs, dampens and insulates all kinds of sounds. It is considered to be soundproof and insulator of sound.

Edge Closure Design

When it comes to designing Honeycomb panels, it is necessary to choose various ways of either closing or sealing the edges. Exposed edge areas are a potential weakness in the design as they become vulnerable to impact or environmental damage.

Edge closures may add in reinforcements, or only meet visual requirements.

There are various ways that are commonly used to seal Honeycomb panels upon application or requests by individuals.

External ‘U’ channel
Solid bar filler
Internal ‘U’ channel
